Spring has sprung upon us so quickly. Daffodils are blooming and it’s raining! This has not deterred the children from running around the garden, using up some of their pent-up energy.

It’s with great pleasure to announce that Miss Charlotte has returned back to work after having her son Noah Samuel Hicks.

We also welcome Miss Helen back after having to step out due to her daughter Elsa having leukaemia. She has now made a full recovery.

So glad to see them both back at Edgemoor.

With the return of Helen and Charlotte I am now able to take a step back from the day to day operation in the nursery to concentrate more on the running of the business and hopefully spending more time with my family. I’ll still be working on a Monday and Friday and filling in here and there, so I’m not going to disappear!

However, on a sad note, Miss Kayleigh has decided to try her hand at business administration, her last day is Friday 2nd March. We wish her well and will miss her dearly.

To bring us more in line with other local nurseries who have taken up the 30-hour funding scheme, we will be reducing our daily funded times from next term by one hour. As from April 16th, 2018 funded hours will be from 9-4 five days a week, rather than 9-5. All hours outside of these will be chargeable.

Please don’t forget to sign your child in and out. This is very important, in case of a fire or any other emergency. The sheet is found on the front desk.

Thursday 1st March 2018 is World Book Day. To celebrate we are going to be doing a wellie walk on Sunday 4th March at 10:00am from the nursery, doing a loop over the moors to return back to the nursery. The walk will be baby, toddler, parent, grandparent, sister/brother and dog friendly. It’ll be great if you wish to dress up as a favourite character from your favourite book.

Reminder

We staff the nursery in accordance with strict regulations laid down by OFSTED. Bringing a child in early or picking up late can take us over the laid down staff to child ratios which could have serious repercussions for Edgemoor Nursery.

Any one-off changes wanted to regular booked in times must be approved by a member of senior staff beforehand.

We also require a months’ notice to change booked in times and for any holiday requests.
