Hello parents/carers,

Ha, you thought you’d heard the last from me, didn’t you!! Nope, I’m not finished yet ……………

Firstly, I’m truly saddened to tell you that Louise is leaving Edgemoor Nursery and moving to a nursery in Callington. Her last day with us will be the 10th June.

Louise has been a massive part of Edgemoor and she will be dearly missed by all of us and all the children. She started working for me on the 1st July 2015. She completed her training with us and grown to be an excellent children’s practitioner and a lovely, kind and caring young lady. I’m truly gutted she’s leaving and she will leave a massive void. We all wish her well and will miss her dearly.

Good luck Louise xx

Due to Louise leaving, Lucinda, who is currently on our bank staff, has accepted full time hours at Edgemoor. Welcome aboard Lucinda.

I may have forgotten to mention……………… We will be closed on the Bank Holidays of Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. This is the half term week (no funding).

We will be celebrating this occasion in the weeks leading up to this event with Jubilee activities and themed foods. We will keep you posted.

Sarah Russell is now just waiting for her Ofsted registration certificate to arrive, it has already been verbally agreed. When this comes through, she can then get insurance to run Edgemoor Nursery. This is literally the last hurdle done. We should complete the nursery sale very shortly. We will keep you updated as soon as we know for sure.

It is supposed to be warming up, so we would like you to pack sunscreen protection and sunhats for your children to be able to go on walks across the moors or to play in the garden. This is to protect your child’s skin from sunburn and skin damage. If you don’t pack sunscreen for your child, it will limit their time allowed outside to play.

We have a child that has developed a nut allergy. We will now be making Edgemoor a Nut Free Zone but only on FRIDAY’S, as this is the only day they attend.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact myself, Helen or charlotte by phone 01822 855644 or send a message through the Contact Form.

Keep safe and careful

From Debbie, Keith, Helen, Charlotte, Steph, Louise, Lucy, Millie and Danni
